A Woman Who Redefined Destiny — An Entrepreneur To A Philanthropist

Great things have small beginnings. It is customary for journalists to write about people who distinguish themselves from the rest of the world. So, when I decided to pen down my thoughts about such a Person, I had flashes that kept coming every now and then. I was intrigued to know more about this woman who raised her voice against ‘Child Trafficking’. 2025 can not get any better.
An Intro Of A Persona
It was a sunny day when we met Sountharya, an Entrepreneur who runs her own Brand of Digital Marketing Agencies which goes by the name “Fininity”. A multi talented personality who started her career In Big Corporates and slogged day in and day out at various corporates as a Marketer and an Expert in analytics before taking a sabbatical like any ordinary woman when she was on her family way.
While she dreamt of getting back to her Job, she had a larger priority to handle- ‘Her little bundle of Joy’ and hence started to follow her passion which was “Baking”. While following her Passion, she decided to pursue her job and went on to learn more about the nuances of Digital Marketing which led her to Start a Digital Marketing Agency .
How She Redefined Destiny?
Our life offers a lot of choices and it is imperative for Us to choose what is radical and significant, she says. Hardwork and success are intertwined and we need to strategize and work on being instrumental in our personal growth. Every bit of profit she earned was reinvested back into her business which helped her grow her business multifold.
“I was so lost in my dreams that I found my vision when a tear touched my heart” Says Sountharya.
On a busy day, she bumped upon a woman in rags who was looking for alms with a 2 year old in hand. Though she was touched with emotions to help the Mother , she came to realize that Child Trafficking has always been a heated discussion for quite some time. She dug more only to realize that the child was abducted from Mumbai and was used for begging. She made all efforts and rescued the child and returned her back to her parents using the support of Local NGOs and Officials.
The Tear of joy that she found in the Mother’s eyes who got her child back gave her a leap of Faith. The pain of losing a child is worse than being buried alive. A mother loses a part of herself when the child she carried in her womb for 9 months is taken away only to be used as a material for earning money. That’s when she decided to become an activist to rescue the abducted children. She neither had the finances nor the confidence to start an NGO.But,as soon as she became a successful entrepreneur she Invested every bit of her hard earned money into building an NGO that rescues children who are abducted.
A Journey that would never end…
Within 6 months of venturing into this activity, she has rescued over 80 children and given them shelter and about 45% of the rescued children were returned to their parents. The joy she finds in rescuing helpless souls is a Journey that she wishes to embark upon till she breathes her last without compromising on the entrepreneur she is .
